The Challenge
A global logistics and supply chain leader, dependent on legacy on-premise applications, aimed to accelerate its digital transformation journey. Their goal was to migrate critical workloads to multiple public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) while ensuring uninterrupted operations across their worldwide warehouses and operational hubs. The challenge was to build a secure, low-latency, and highly available hybrid network capable of supporting dynamic workloads and maintaining business continuity across both cloud and on-premise environments.
Solution
We designed and executed a comprehensive hybrid network transformation strategy:
Cloud Interconnect Design:
Deployed dedicated high-bandwidth, low-latency cloud interconnects (AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute) from strategic data centers to public cloud platforms, enabling secure and private cloud connectivity.
Hybrid Network Architecture:
Built a unified network architecture that extended on-premise infrastructure into the cloud using a combination of SD-WAN overlays, site-to-site VPNs, and dynamic routing (BGP), allowing seamless traffic flow and failover capabilities.
Cloud-Native Network Devices:
Provisioned and configured cloud-native firewalls, load balancers, and gateways, fully integrated with existing security infrastructure to maintain a cohesive posture across environments.
Security & Compliance Framework:
Applied consistent security policies, identity access management, and compliance controls across both cloud and on-premise networks, ensuring adherence to industry regulations.
Performance Monitoring & Optimization:
Integrated advanced monitoring tools to analyze latency, throughput, and packet loss. Implemented proactive optimization to ensure peak network performance across all regions.
Outcome
The client successfully migrated critical logistics systems to a multi-cloud environment, achieving:
- Improved scalability and system resilience during peak operations
- Low-latency, high-availability network access for global warehouses and offices
- Faster data exchange and decision-making across operational centers
- Reduced infrastructure overhead and improved cloud ROI
- Strengthened competitive advantage through enhanced digital capabilities
This transformation positioned the logistics provider to respond more agilely to global supply chain demands, ensuring continuity and innovation in a rapidly evolving market.
